Toy Design: "Espantin"

My idea with "Espantín", was to create a character based on a scarecrow, but with my own rendition. For the color palette, I combined earthy scarecrow colors like brown and green, with some more lively ones, like red for the jacket and the eyes. I also put two crows on his hat as permanent companions. Most of the clothes were made with paper mache, while acrylics were used for the painting. As a final touch, I decided to add a scarf and a belt, both made with mold-textured wire to simulate the wind effect. I was very pleased with the result.
